    Doesn’t dry plastic, May 3, 2016

We bought this dishwasher at Lowe’s. A one thing you should know before buying this. You will need to buy a power cord for it if you are plugging it into the wall. I think if you’re hard-wiring it, you don’t need to get a power cord. We needed one, and didn’t realize that until we had it home and wanted to install it. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find one locally, so we bought one here on Amazon.

Anyway. This is a very nice dishwasher. It is very quiet. It looks great. I moved the silverware tray from the door to the front of the lower rack. It’s just more convenient for me. I didn’t like it in the door. The outside looks like stainless steel. It blends very well with all my stainless steel appliances. However, I don’t think it is stainless steel, because magnets will stick to it, and magnets can’t stick to real stainless steel, unless another alloy is added to it.

I would say the only real complaint I have, like many others, is this dishwasher doesn’t dry plastic dishes. I read something that today’s dishwasher use a dispersing (might be the wrong term–but it doesn’t use a heating element to dry) method of drying, and they don’t dry as well as the old ones did. So I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just a common issue with dishwashers now…at least at this price point. It might be different with more expensive units. The inside of this dishwasher is plastic. I think if could afford to, I’d upgrade to a stainless steel tub. My understanding is the ones with stainless steel tubs dry better, and I know that would make me happy.

I’d definitely buy this one again.

Love this dishwasher. It cleans very well and is quiet. The silverware tray has two options if you don’t like it hooked on the door you can move it to the outside of the bottom rack where it hangs on the plastic tabs…I use it both ways.

This dishwasher is pretty good for a base item, January 14, 2015

This dishwasher is pretty good for a base item, it seems to clean well. I can’t comment on longevity. My biggest issue is I don’t like how the silverware is set up, it is in a basket that you attach to the door and it lies down flat when you open the door. Also the holes in the basket are too small to fit a lot of my silverware but if you don’t use that the silverware flops around. I bought this item online without seeing it in the store and as such wasn’t aware of this feature. It is pretty quiet and cleans at reasonable speed. I had a super fancy kitchen aid dishwasher prior to this (cost well over 1k) and hated it, it sucked at cleaning and broke apart after 3 years and took 4 hours to do a load of dishes, so more money isn’t always better in this category. Other than the silverware holder I am pleased so far with this dishwasher and I got it at a good price (300).
